Joe LaLuz, DDS
Dr. Joe LaLuz has been practicing dentistry for more than 35 years, and while that sounds like a long time, he’ll be the first to tell you he’s still learning.
Joe graduated from the UCSF School of Dentistry, ranked the #2 dental school in the country, and has spent his career building on that foundation through advanced education, hands-on experience, and a healthy refusal to settle for “good enough.”
He has always had a particular passion for cosmetic dentistry and for the small details that can turn good dentistry into something exceptional. Even after decades in practice, Joe continues to take advanced courses, work with respected mentors, and look for better ways to do things. He believes experience matters, but staying curious is what keeps a dentist sharp.
Patients often appreciate that Dr. Joe doesn’t fit the stereotypical “serious dentist” mold. He enjoys getting to know the person attached to the teeth, believes laughter belongs in a dental office, and tries to make appointments feel comfortable, relaxed, and refreshingly human.
His philosophy toward dentistry is simple: Do beautiful work. Treat people well. Never assume you’ve learned everything. And try not to make anyone dread coming to the dentist.
After more than 35 years, Dr. Joe still genuinely loves what he does. And he thinks that may be one of the best qualifications a dentist can have.
