Is It A True Dental Emergency?

Am I bleeding?

Bleeding that doesn’t stop with applied pressure is likely a sign of a dental emergency. Dental gauze can help in the short term, but if bleeding persists, contact us.

Am I in severe or significant pain?

Ongoing pain isn’t just unpleasant; it can be a sign of a dental emergency that needs treatment. Pain from a genuine emergency rarely goes away on its own.

Have I lost or damaged a tooth?

Lost teeth should always be treated as an emergency. Keep a knocked-out adult tooth moist with water, saliva or milk. If possible, place it back in its socket without touching the root, or keep it between your cheek and gums, and contact us as quickly as possible.

Is my tooth loose?

Adult teeth are permanent. A loose tooth can come from an impact, but it can also signal a more serious underlying problem.

Do I have an infection?

A cut or infection in your mouth can escalate into a larger problem. Don’t wait to see if it subsides on its own; give us a call.

Not Sure What You Need?

Start with a comprehensive exam. We’ll walk you through every option.
